Bahrain has opened an online platform for applying for a ten-year residence permit

Bahrain has launched a new online platform that allows foreign citizens to apply for long-term residence for a period of 10 years — the so-called Golden Visa. This immigration program has been in effect since 2022 and continues to gain popularity: in 2024 alone, over 10,000 people signed up for it.

Different categories of foreigners can apply for residency status if they meet the following conditions:

• investing in the country's economy from $265,000;
• purchasing real estate in the kingdom in the amount of $200,000;
• having a sought-after profession or significant professional achievements;
• age 55 years and older with a stable income of $1,326 per month.
