Since April 2025, foreigners have received another reason to pay attention to Bahrain: obtaining a Golden visa has become much easier thanks to the launch of a special Internet portal and a 24-hour hotline.

Initiated in 2022, the Golden Visa Bahrain program has quickly established itself as one of the most effective ways to attract investors, specialists and wealthy retirees to the country. In 2024, over 10,000 such visas were issued, which is an impressive figure for a kingdom with a population of just over 1.5 million people.

Who can get a Golden Bahrain Visa:

  • Investors who have invested at least 200,000 Bahraini dinars (about 530,000 US dollars) in residential real estate or have invested at least 100,000 dinars (about 265,000 US dollars) in the local economy.
  • Highly qualified professionals and talented figures, recognized in the field of science, art or sports, as well as sought-after specialists who have a contract with a Bahraini company.
  • Pensioners who have turned 55 years old, with a monthly income of 500 Bahraini dinars (about 1,325 US dollars).

Why Bahrain is becoming more attractive:

Bahrain stands out among the Gulf states for its openness and tolerance. Mosques, Christian churches and synagogues exist side by side here, which makes the country comfortable for foreigners of all faiths. The Kingdom is actively developing the banking sector, technology, logistics and tourism. In addition, Bahrain offers a more lenient tax policy compared to its neighbors — there is no tax on personal income.

The Golden Visa of Bahrain provides not only the right to long-term residence, but also the opportunity to work, open a business, educate children in international schools and a comfortable life by the sea. Unlike similar programs in other countries in the region, the Bahrain visa requires less investment and provides flexible conditions for renewal.

In addition, Bahrain is famous for its mild climate, traditional pearl fishing, rich history, and modern amenities, from the Formula 1 track to state—of-the-art medical centers.
