Every country has its own remote areas with few remaining residents. And many countries have programs to encourage people to move to these areas and make them habitable again. Greece has such a program, focusing on the island of Antikythera. In 2023, the island's population dropped to 20, and the Greek government has implemented a new program to encourage residents to repopulate the island.
