12.07.2023 Country safety rating

When considering moving to another country, it's important to consider more than just the economy or infrastructure. Crime levels are also important, and most importantly, police performance. Therefore, for those interested, we've compiled a ranking of countries by level of trust in the police. It has become more relevant after the events in France - the country no longer seems attractive, and Paris does not evoke associations with fresh pastries, romance and views of the Seine.

Gallup Law and Order Index

The rating was updated in 2021, and according to the latest data, the TOP-3 countries with the highest level of trust in the police include:

  1. Singapore - 96 points out of 100;
  2. Tajikistan - 95 points;
  3. Norway - 93 points.

Switzerland and Indonesia also show a high level of trust (92 points each). The stronghold of democracy, the United States, ranks 41st in the ranking, scoring 83 points. And rebellious France, in 2021, is in 31st place (85 points). It's interesting to see the 2023 ranking, as polls suggest attitudes toward the police have even improved there.
