Attention to "digital nomads": Greece is changing the procedure for obtaining a Digital Nomad Visa from 2024

Greece is one of the most popular countries for modern "digital nomads." Its warm climate, excellent local cuisine, developed infrastructure, and good internet connections attract thousands of remote professionals and entrepreneurs from Russia, Israel, the USA, China, and Canada.

The "Digital Nomads" program, launched in 2021, allows you to quickly and easily obtain a residence permit in Greece. However, starting in 2024, the government plans to introduce a number of changes. In particular, it will no longer be possible to apply while in Greece on a tourist or business visa. We'll explain more below.
