Investment residence permit in Greece: What can we expect from 2024?

Despite the difficult political situation in Europe, Greece continued to operate the Golden Visa program in 2023. According to the Migration Service, there was a rapid increase in the popularity of investment residence permits. Investors from Russia, China, the United States, and other countries eagerly purchased real estate, invested in stocks and government bonds.

The year was a record for the program: by the end of November, more than 7.5 thousand applications were submitted, which is 78% more than in the previous year. And the total investment in the first six months amounted to more than 1.6 billion euros. The amount of investment by foreign nationals in Greek real estate during this period exceeded the 2022 figures by 152% and broke the 2019 record. But what can foreign investors expect in 2024?
